Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Residential & Commercial Development Project in Redwood Falls
The City of Redwood Falls recognized a need for additional housing and commercial development opportunities in the area. With the help of many individuals and community groups, the City created The Homes of Reflection Prairie and Reflection Ridge Business Park to address these needs. A groundbreaking ceremony for this new residential and commercial development project will be held to celebrate.
Why These Developments Now?
We believe that Redwood Falls is a thriving, vibrant community with much to offer. Our community is growing and that means there’s a need to work together to create more housing opportunities and to designate additional space for more businesses and commercial organizations that will benefit our community. Working with other community members and organizations, we teamed up to create the idea of this commercial and residential development project.
There’s a strong need for more housing and additional business support in greater Minnesota. And people are looking for the rural Minnesota lifestyle combined with access to healthcare, education and attractions that are commonly found within larger cities. These developments will allow us to expand on the strengths of our community while adding new amenities to benefit homeowners, businesses and land developers alike.

Location of New Residential & Commercial Development
Redwood Falls is located near major transportation routes, including Highways 24 and 1, railroads and the municipal airport. After careful consideration and planning, it was decided that the developments will be located on the east side of the city. This will provide residents with convenient access to highways for their commutes to work and for exploring the existing businesses and attractions of the beautiful Redwood Falls area. Businesses building on these new lots will also benefit from Redwood Falls’ location as a transportation hub, with easy access to highways and railroads for shipping and distribution needs.
Pricing on Residential & Commercial Lots
Both of these developments will be created in multiple phases, and lots will be put up for sale June 2, 2022. In Phase I for the Homes of Reflection Prairie, 20 standard-sized single-family lots and seven larger estate-sized lots will be put up for sale. Residential lot pricing will start at $34,900.
Reflection Ridge Business Park will have three commercial lots for sale during Phase I of development. These lots will range in size from 3.5 to 5 acres. Pricing starts at $50,000 per acre.
Groundbreaking & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Details
Anyone wishing to attend the groundbreaking and ribbon cutting ceremony is welcome. The ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Redwood Area Community Center (901 E Cook St, Redwood Falls, MN, 56283). Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be provided.
