Cooperative weather has allowed for the completion of the 2023 construction work on the Reflection Ridge and Reflection Prairie properties located in Redwood Falls.

Current Status of Reflection Prairie Project

The conclusion of the 2023 construction season brings the completion of Phase 1 in the Homes of Reflection Prairie housing development. Phase 1 was the development of 20 standard-sized, one-third-acre lots and seven larger estate lots ranging in size from 1 to 1.5 acres in size perfect for building your dream home. Land was also made available to be developed into multi-family housing, commercial, and retail space.

City Administrator Keith Muetzel states, “Housing is in very short supply and the completion of this project couldn’t be coming at a better time for the community.” Muetzel mentioned how this first phase of construction established streets, sidewalks and all the infrastructure needed to build new housing. New home construction is anticipated to begin soon in the newest neighborhood in Redwood Falls!

Current Status of Reflection Ridge Project

The conclusion of the 2023 construction season brings the completion of Phase 1 in the Reflection Ridge business park. In Phase 1, the City of Redwood Falls has prepared three commercial lots for immediate use. These sites range in size from 3.5 to 5 acres. Curb, gutter, water and sewer access have been put in place to allow this space to be open for business use.

Mayor Tom Quackenbush states, “The City of Redwood Falls is excited about the opportunities for existing and new businesses to expand their work in our new business park.” Completion of Phase 1 also marks the beginning of a new professional relationship with the Colliers Group to help promote and attract the right organizations to the business park.

Is the project now complete?

The first phase of the project is substantially complete which means that the space is ready for homes and businesses to be constructed. Moving ahead, the next project phase will look at laying the curb, gutter, water and sewer for additional lots in both the housing and business park properties.

The completion of Phase 1 marks a significant milestone toward the expansion of Redwood Falls and the City looks forward to partnering with you to prosper!
