The City of Redwood Falls is thrilled to be working with Redwood Property Holdings as they transform the old city hospital building into the Red Skye Lofts development. We caught up with them to get an update on the construction progress.
About Red Skye Lofts
Redwood Property Holdings purchased the former Redwood Area Hospital building in July of 2021 to redevelop the property into market rate apartments called Red Skye Lofts. A building permit was issued in August of 2022!
Plaid Hat Management operates Redwood Property Holdings which will serve as the managing entity for Red Skye Lofts.
Red Skye Lofts is slated to house 54 apartment units. These pet friendly apartments will include a mixture of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units. These units will be spacious and allow for some two-bedroom units to be close to 1,500 square feet!
Amenities
Red Skye Lofts will feature a number of amenities. Plans for these amenities include a large community and game room on the main floor to host guests of residents, handicap accesible units, elevator access and more. The building will be a secure facility featuring fobbed entrances and an intercom system. The building is also slated to feature a car wash and pet wash in the building along with ample parking.
When will Red Skye Lofts open and what is the rent?
Construction continues to progress and is expected to be completed spring of 2024. Red Skye Lofts plans to host a community open house for potential residents, area employers and area community members to attend as they near construction completion.
Rental rates will range between $900 and $2,000 per month.
How to Get on the Red Skye Lofts Wait List
Red Skye Lofts is currently accepting potential residents on their wait list. They have indicated that lease signing will not occur until completion dates are more solidified and encourage interested parties to reach out to them via email to get on the list.
