The public was encouraged to review the EAW and submit written comments by October 5, 2021. Comments were directed to Jim Doering, Public Works Project Coordinator, with key documents such as concept plans and additional assessments made available for review.
Groundbreaking Ceremony - June 2, 2022
A groundbreaking ceremony was hosted to celebrate the launch of two major development projects: The Homes of Reflection Prairie and Reflection Ridge Business Park. Water & Sewer Installation - Fall of 2022
The installation of water and sewer systems for the new development projects in Redwood Falls was completed. Storm Water System Completion - Spring of 2023
By November 2022, the stormwater system for the new developments in Redwood Falls had reached approximately 90% completion. The remaining work, including final adjustments and integration with the pond and road construction, resumed in the spring of 2023. Pond & Road Construction - Summer of 2023
In the summer of 2023, construction at the Homes of Reflection Prairie and Reflection Ridge Business Park made significant progress. Crews completed stormwater pond grading, installed remaining storm sewer piping, and finished the road base, with road construction continuing through September. By late summer, curbs, gutters, and catch basins were installed, followed by paving in the fall. By year’s end, the site had transformed into a visible neighborhood, ready for future residents and businesses.
Curb, Gutter, Catch Basin & Turf Work - Summer 2023
During the summer of 2023, curb, gutter, catch basin, and turf work were completed for the Reflection Ridge and Homes of Reflection Prairie developments in Redwood Falls. This marked the end of Phase 1 construction, which established essential infrastructure, including streets, sidewalks, and utilities, for 27 residential lots and three commercial lots. These improvements prepared the properties for immediate use, supporting the city’s growth with much-needed housing and business opportunities. With the foundational work complete, Redwood Falls is ready to welcome new homes and businesses to these vibrant new developments.
First Home - Summer 2024
The City of Redwood Falls celebrated a major milestone with the placement of the first home in the Reflection Prairie development in July 2024. This achievement marks progress on a project that began with a groundbreaking ceremony in June 2022, addressing the community’s need for expanded housing options. Built by Northstar Systembuilt, the three-bedroom home with a two-stall garage is now complete. With infrastructure now complete and additional lots ready for purchase, Reflection Prairie continues to support the city’s vision for growth and vibrant living.
